Patek Philippe emblem made for a clasp that had none
I got a call from Nowak Jewelers in Berlin Germany. He said that he had a pristine Nautilus that he wanted to sell.....but....he couldn't sell it without a Patek emblem. Well, I made him one from a genuine Patek crown that he happened to have in stock. I flattened the crown and then turned it on a lathe so that it fit right into the clasp indention and a small hole. I fit it so tight that it wouldn't fall out, but I laser-welded it for good measure. Next time I'll use a little finer sand blasting agent in order to get a better match to what the emblem originaly looked like out of the factory....Nobody can say that it's not authentic Patek though!
